MARDI MILLIGAN'S BIOGRAPHY
As a third-generation Montanan, Mardi Milligan's performances started as a folksinger in the Greenbriars, to the Munich Three at the Heidelhaus Restaurant.
After graduating with her degree in business from the University of Montana, Mardi toured the Northwest with a show rock band called Smile, and then, in an offshoot of the original Smile band, Mardi performed in Smile at the Outlaw Inn in Kalispell, Montana. She started a solo act and traveled between Alaska and San Diego.
Through Mardi's publishing company, Idram Publishing Co., LLC, and her record label, Special Moments Music, Mardi has re-mastered her first vinyl album, "Old, New, Borrowed 'n Blue - Milligan Stew" and the CD is called "Looking Back."
"Looking Back" is a delightfully deliberate and intuitively intentional collection of new and nostalgic tunes. Mardi's resonant and smooth vocal stylings go down "just like chocolate ice cream."
Her newest CD, "Choices," contains 14 originals, and Mardi takes you on a reflective and relaxing journey from lovin' to leavin' and to gratitude and optimism. After all, life is what happens due to the choices we make.
WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT MARDI'S MUSIC:
"Mardi's custom-written song, 'King of the Singin' Cowboys,' did make my 88th birthday special indeed! ...[the song] is beautiful and I will treasure it forever."
-- Gene Autry
"In 'Choices,' Mardi Milligan sings of breakup and renewal as her beautiful voice moves easily from country to jazz. Her unique lyrics are heartfelt and real, with tributes to the West lovingly placed throughout. Her collection of songs is inspiring and appeals to anyone who's loved and lost and found love again."
-- K.L., Red 440 Design
"Mardi's vocal stylings and musical entertainment, along with the music on her first album, have held a special place in the memories of my life. Her music continues to inspire, excite and enrich those who soak up her rich, velvety tones as she deeply touches your heart."
-- Dennis W.G. Shaw
