It's actually a bloody fine set of songs

It's actually a bloody fine set of songs - the range of styles and influences is incredibly wide. Minimalist kicks off the album and reminds me of something from the likes of MIRV or Eskimo, even with shades of the Residents. Roach Under Glass is almost Talking Heads, and the superbly titled Open Mind Open Sores, a real red neck song here, verging on Butthole Surfers! Smell The Parade deserves a medal simply for the fact that Milo has taken his influences, worn them on his sleeve, and twisted and moulded them into his own, unique style. Remember that picture of Edward Hopper's (I think it was called Late Night Diners). At the coffee bar, Tom Waits compares notes with Snakefinger, whilst to their left Milo sits and invents a new small town Americana. Brilliant. -- Dave Hughes

Milo Smell the Parade GloomyTunes.com Smell the Parade is the latest creation of lo-fi mad scientist Milo. Milo covers a wide variety of styles on this home-recorded collection. Fans of Ween's early, Scotchguard-induced material will dig Smell the Parade.-- Chris Lupton
