Album Notes

Milo Z's Sweet N' Nasty CD has just been nominated in the 2009 Just Plain Folks Music Awards (largest music awards in the world) for best funk album out of 42,000 albums submitted and his song "Freak" was nominated for best funk song out of 560,000 songs submitted. Milo Z is to New York what The Funky Meters are to New Orleans: THE BEST DAMN FUNK BAND IN THE CITY. This unit, comprised of some of the best musicians in NYC, is like a cross between James Brown, Parliment/ Funkadellic, and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Come hear and see New York's best kept secret and you will not be disappointed. Milo Z tours frequently around the Northeast and throughout Europe and returns annually. Milo Z has appeared on the Carson Daly show and also has songs featured in several films such as "See Spot Run" by Warner Bros., which featured David Arquette, Anthony Anderson and Paul Sorvino, and "The Deli" featuring Mike Starr, David Johansen, Iman, Jerry Stiller, Ice T, and Heavy D. Three songs from SWEET N' NASTY are featured in the movie "Cupidity" directed by John Gallagher. For upcoming shows and more go to www.myspace.com/milozband or www.miloz.com

CD was great. Live performance even better. Good friends saw Milo at an open ampitheater in Greece and raved about him. When a live performance turned up at Mexacali Blues/NJ we made it an outing. Only bad note was the band that preceded him - awful. We arrived a 9:45 PM ( for Milo Z) and had to endure sheer torture of a Skaa ? band until 11:15PM (way too late). Milo Z is a class act. If you get the opportunity to catch him, don't miss it. His band is tight and he's a perfectionist. Great Horns, bass/vocals,lead guitar..all His voice is a cross between Brook Benton/Otis Redding/Barry White. We're senior citizens and could only stay until 12:30 AM when he began his second set. Is there a newer CD out that's not yet on CDBABY?
