AS HEARD ON GARRISON KEILLOR'S "A PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION"
The duo’s plaintive, sweet melodies will draw you in and linger like the cheap cologne of a traveling Bible salesman. This debut was recorded and mixed by John Keane (R.E.M., Uncle Tupelo) in Athens, GA and features the talents of ex-Whiskeytown-er Caitlin Cary and Thad Cockrell, Railroad Earth, Sally Van Meter, the Persuasions' Jerry Lawson and Burrito Brother and all-around session player Al Perkins.

author: Joanne MartinI was listening to "Prairie Home Companion" and stopped in my tracks when I heard "My Favorite Heartache." The blended voices of CJ and John took my breath away.
Truly Wrote And Felt From The Heart
author: Krause FamilyFantastic Music And Vocals. Superb Quality Production CD.
Great CD!
author: Pat ChapinDon't generally listen to C&W, but the samples lured me; I loved My Favorite Heartache just as much as I'm Not Goin' to the Jailhouse, opposite ends of the scale. Got to hear more of these folks, the sound is wonderful!
The Milroys ought to be Top Ten!!
author: Doug BrownThis gorgeous album features 10 memorable songs all written by CJ and John Milroy. It kicks off with My Favorite Heartache, which already sounds like a standard. The central songs--Silver Bullet, The Good News Gospel Hour (from Tangerine Trousers days), and the rockabilly I'm Not Going to the Jailhouse over You--are the highlight of the album. CJ's vocals are absorbing, as are John's, and the backup is superb. Just get it now! It represents the best music out there today.

"The Milroy's sweet songs of love, death and righting wrongs on the murky backroads of Americana are like going to a flea market and getting a great deal on an old guitar".
