Not from the American Mid-West, The Milwaukees are a NJ based rock band that pushes the boundaries of rock music.
"The Bland Comfort of Life With Lloyd Justin," produced by Wayne Dorell (Chavez, Tonic), is the band's sophmore effort. This EP continues their history of aggressive, melodic rock songs, while it takes more chances musically and presents a more raw sound that reflects their high-energy live show.
Old School Rockers and Emo Kids now have something they can agree on, and it is this album!

Once again, the Milwaukees blew me away with this 6 song E.P. I own all 3 of their cds and they keep getting better with each release. Dylan's voice is so powerful along with his and Jeff's guitars, Dave's bass and Brian's drums. Pick up all their albums as soon as possible!

The Milwaukees are one of those bands that can rock you and move you.
author: Jim Testa, Jersey Beat
I'm not sure if Dylan Clark--the singer, guitarist, and songwriter of The Milwaukees--is comfortable yet with being called "emo." After all, the boy doesn't know jack about punk rock. So let's just call these six new tracks "emotional indie rock." The addition of Brian Stoor (ex-Bunt, Aviso' Hara) on drums and Jeff Nordstedt on second guitar has bolstered the band's sound, making it a bit thicker and more solid, but basically, Dylan and bassist Dave Post are still churning out driving rock dominated by Dylan's histrionic vocals and poetic lyrics. It doesn't really matter that line like "there's Beatles in my head" don't make any sense--the force of the music and the passion in Dylan's voice tell you all that you need to know. Which is, quite simply, that The Milwaukees are one of those bands that can rock you and move you. 'Nuff said.
