Great CD
author: MarySince I opened this CD I have played it and played it and played it, and each time there is something new and wonderful to hear. Mimi's vocals are perfect, and Kevin Salem's guitar is melodic and strong. My favorite track is "Cool Rain," where you get the best of both Mimi's great singing and Kevin's great sound. Awesome!
Just discovered this awesome talent
author: Carol SThe music is haunting and beautiful and it seems very time I listen to this cd (which is regularly) I have a new favorite track. Guitar, bass, and effects are wonderfully intertwined with THAT VOICE! There is so much variety yet each song is true to Mimi and to itself. Thank you for including the lyrics so I can really ponder them. Thank you for baring your soul and for the artistry shown here, most of all thank you for an unforgettable cd.
rocks in a lovely sort of way
author: Olivia S.Mimi's molasses-dark, bittersweet soprano lends a road-trip-worthy quality to lyrics that always strike home. Only improves with listening. Plug in and drive. Or cook. Some of my favorite kitchen music -- kitchens are the cauldrons of our souls, after all, & messing about in them deserves this calibre of music.
Talented singer/songwriter -- we're lucky to have her!
author: Mary M.Such a talent! Her thoughtful lyrics are matched by a beautiful voice. Catch her live if you can! Check out this CD or her earlier Monkey Trap.
Top 10 2004 - Perfect for the car!
author: PeroConvertible music! And if you don't have one, buy this CD and put it in your car. Why, oh why, do we get the same old stuff, when talents like Mimi Cross go unsigned? This is on my Top 10 for 2004.
Conjured up memories of the Artist in her younger years!
author: Mr XThe songs were so haunting, so memory provoking....made me feel as if I'd known the artist intimately in another era!
