Album Notes
Quirky yet emotional. Serious and Naive. The Freshman release for Mindlikewater is a very moody affair. The original release came out in 1999. It was also re-released through Forkinhand Records out of Boston. There are still a few reviews lurking around the net these days. People still say this is their favorite Mindlikewater album. It has a depth and innocence that could never be re-created. The foundation the band was built on is right here in The Hourglass Syndrome.

The Melody
Music that changed my life. Exceptional. Progressive, beautiful and Rockin' I love this band. The Album notes were correct in saying that this is the album Mind Like Water was based on. As I loved and listened to this music I could not even imagine what would be up next in the sophmore album. The Hourglass Syndrome is best enjoyed when played from beginning to end. I recommend purchasing all of these albums by MLW. Joe Beaty is a great songwriter. The music will make you feel very..thoughtful & for me personally the music is full of memories. Now the latest release from MLW "Keep Humming Bird" is helping me to create all new memories and reminding me of where I came from. It's good to have goals acheived over the years. It's funny how music can help you get through it sometimes. Powerful.
