Mindy Wade has finally released her compelling debut album. She has crafted a remarkably passionate and tuneful set with “Christmas Is For One & All”. This album is a powerful mix of originals, new renditions of old Christmas favorites, and a winning country duet with vocalist Jason Pugh. In “Christmas Is For One & All” Mindy proves that she is a performer of much talent, as we find the kind of Christmas album that is a timeless treasure. Her smooth-as-honey, and subtle-yet-powerful vocals will leave you waiting for her next album.

The album starts off with the infectious country rocker “Jingle Bell Shuffle” which you can't help but tap your feet and sing-along to. That's followed by a harmony-rich country version of “O Little Town of Bethlehem”. “It Won't Be Christmas” is romantically soulful, from the opening honky-tonk piano to the violin, with a sound that gives it a distinct country flavor. Then you melt into the soothing sway of “Chestnuts Roasting...” in a vocal/piano rendition that makes you feel as if she's singing just for you.

In comes the rest of the band again for a duet with up-and-coming new country artist, Jason Pugh, on a version of “Silver Bells” that's sure to be your favorite. The title track “Christmas Is For One & All” is a wonderful example of Mindy's vocal and musical versatility. On “Oh Holy Night” her voice shines with a pure and angelic sound. Another great example of her songwriting abilities is heard in “The Savior of All The Earth” which is purposefully reminiscent of The Twelve Days of Christmas. The “Carol Medley” is an intimate country-yet-classical treat of three favorite Christmas hymns where vocals are accompanied by a moving classical guitar. The last song on the album, though surely not the least, shows off her sultry and stylish vocals in a short a cappella version of “Sweet Little Jesus Boy”, reminding us of the true reason... for the season.
