Album Notes

If you're a fan of Tamara's voice this album might make you smile. She enlisted the help of 10 groundbreaking artists and created a disc that is pretty stunning. Dancefloor friendly tracks, weird disembodied ambience, flagrant experimentation...what else could anyone ask for? All tracks were taken from Minefield's 2001 ep After The Ball and lovingly massaged into obscurity.

Containing mixes by: Dead Poets Society, Synthetic Dream Foundation, Soviet Radio and Minefield, the album in CD form was released in October of 2003.

2 of the 'club' friendly tracks by Karl Mohr and Cryptomnesia have been layed to vinyl and will be released through Interdimensional Industries in January 2004.

DECOMPOSITION reflects a collective of individual interpretations into the future of dark ambient dance music with the vox of Tamara Kent proffered as the strobe to light the way. MINEFIELD begins with the refinement of lyrical subtleties and the vocal finesse of Tamara Kent. And along the way, MINEFIELD reveals a consortium of unique talent spidering up from the dark Underground of modern electronic dance movements. Interdimensional Industries (Canada) reached beyond the North American shores to attract the seismic interest of Karl Mohr - www.karlmohr.com. MINEFIELD now shares erotic ambient twilight dancing across the electro horizon with Karl Mohr, Blue Mars, Dead Poets Society, Ingrown, Soviet Radio, Cryptomnesia, Synthetic Dream Foundation, Spectre VII, and Soy Futura. Each artist now infusing attenuated elements specifically targeting the needs of music enthusiasts thirsty for intoxicating new dance floor vibrations. Example: Seductive trip hop cascades into a syncopated dissonance, and then evaporates, leaving the resonant vocal prowess of Tamara Kent wafting like a thick fog through a chamber of piano chords.
