Album Notes

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Mingus was raised in an Irish home where he learned guitar, mandolin, and tenor banjo. He started sitting in with professional musicians at sixteen. After a couple stints in college he took to the road and spent the intervening years working and playing music, gathering stories and honing the craft of tradition music. Some extended stays include Bellingham, Washington; Phoenix, Arizona; Miami, Florida; Lansing, Michigan; and his current home of Seattle, Washington. Irish music is his passion and feels it his duty to help carry the tradition of acoustic Irish/American music strongly in to this new century . His vision is to bring honest music to pubs and bars around the country with an earnest and gritty performance. Look for him in a pub near you.
