Album Notes

"The titles suggest a reverence for nature in its macrocosmic and microscopic forms. Although predominately rhythmic, this is not just a chill out dance album. Beneath the sublime harmonic layers of sound, something dark is brooding. Best heard from start to finish, the album has a journey like feel, moving through terrains rich in filmic atmosphere. The rhythmic pulse restlessly slips into new moods and time signatures. Random samples of classic orchestration merge together to create new melodies against a granular fog of noise and multi layered beats. Elsewhwere the listener is taken through a spooky mountain landscape upon rickety, off kilter percussion. Two thirds of the way in we find ourselves in a swamp of late night lounge exotica, accompanied by gospel choirs, cicadas and fog horns. Later, we are dropped into an aquatic world, surrounded by aural microscopic life. Finally we emerge into a spiritual pean to twilight. A beautiful, well crafted piece of work."
