Kira Kira Disc is pleased to announce its' first release; the debut full length cd by minikon. A tasteful mixture of catchy melodies with creative experimentation, minikon (which is japanese for "small computer") represents our entry into the electronic music community. What follows is a short biography of the artist whose real name is James White a.k.a "denty one."

The little story behind minikon:

James White began developing his visual and musical skills at the age of fifteen while attending art school in Jacksonville, Florida. His first musical recordings involved simple experimentations with Casio keyboards and his analog four track recorder. Slowly, his love for the early electronic music pioneers and the vibrant Japanese pop culture began to influence his music.

After various studio equipment upgrades, James met a local electronic musician who introduced him to software based music production. Realizing the endless bounds of this software, his musical desires came into focus with minikon. A colorful blend of electro-pop, video game fun and experimental bliss, minikon celebrates melody and happiness without apology. As James says, "In a field of music with so many possibilities, I choose the path paved with smiles....a break from the norm."
