Album Notes

Currently tearing up American radio, MINT, a five-piece from Hasselt (Belgium indeed!) deliver soulful indie-rock tunes. These are songs that stick in your head for days and make you want to drive real fast with the top down!!
This is the perfect summertime record, cool and refreshing, that keeps one warm when listening to it in winter, as well!

After their very well received debut album ‘Echoes from the engine room’, a busload of rave reviews and great shows on big Benelux summerfestivals they’re back with their follow-up album dubbed ‘Magnetism’. The song 'Your Shopping Lists are Poetry' has been heard on such bastions of American Radio as KROQ and KCRW. Currently charting on Music Choice, and kicking ass at alternative, college and specialty radio, 'Magnetism' is magnetic.

Produced by Richmond’s John Morand (Sparklehorse, Cracker) in his SOM-studio, ‘Magnetism’ feels fresh and classic at the same time. Throwing 40 years of rockmusic into their blender Mint still manages to sound exactly like themselves. The main pieces in the puzzle are Erwin Marcisz’ distinctive songwriting, lush orchestrations and a je-ne-sais-quoi shoegazer aesthetic. ‘Magnetism’ is a trend-dodging, exhilarating listen!
