Album Notes

Far behind you can see is something as real as you can feel and touch. This is what the purple fields dream about. Distant hopes for something clean, big and wide, like the intelligence of electrified people. Mellow and dreamy, the compilation on Controne Records - 'Mioku' is a beautifully crafted harmonic downbeat idm, electronica music from Various Artists - Lackluster, Esem, Polygon Ring, Kliment, Sektor, Folder, Itou, Dtd, Adj and Clio. Starting quietly with 'Inner Kid' from the bulgarian Adj, passing through the amazing melodic 'Xerie' from Esem, to Itou's downbeat, and filled with warm synth layers 'Strandjha', through the crazy 'Somatus' and the ambient chill-trancey journey from Kliment. Follows some silently mellow sounds form Lackluster, continues with the slightly flying ambient 'Shii' from Clio and synthy downtempo track - 'Lo Kito' from Sektor. Also his excellent remix on Itou's track included!Folder's beaty 'Ribatop' and amazing upbeat remix from Polygon Ring of recently released on Kahvi Collective track 'Sektor - Loki' at the end for the top of the cocktail!!!

MIOKU
author: Glenn Lindholm
Excellent first CD for this label. I bought this to get more Esem, which his only two previous full length releases have become somewhat rare and pricey; however, there are plenty of other little nuggets here that won't disappoint. The artist Itou was a particular standout for me. Most of these artists' music is only obtainable through files or mp3, which is too bad. One would hope that they make more individual album type physical releases and that this label does as well.
