The ‘Temptation’ CD is a collection of original compositions containing a number of extraordinary melodic and rhythmic ideas based upon modern tunes as well as the tunes rooted in the flamenco-gypsy, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean folk and Latin rhythms with textures of jazz conception. 10th Annual Independent Music Awards nominee (World Beat album category) and "Unforgiven" track from Temptation album was nominated for and won both the regular and Peoples Choice popular vote judging. The "Temptation” will be a wonderful gift for the admirers of world music and jazz, as well as for connoisseurs of really nice instrumental music.

...Good effort! Nice ideas here and there! I am flattered when Roman uses his ideas with my influence"... /Al Di Meola/
..."Temptation" is an excellent piece of the type of modern flamenco music that John McLaughlin and I played with Paco de Lucia in the late seventies in Europe. Roman Miroshnichenko, in his tribute to this style of music, stays very close to the original guidelines that make this an authentic piece of creativity and not simply a copy. The use of Spanish percussion with subtle rhythmic variations is a case in point; this pulsating underpinning makes a great foundation for Roman's improvisations, which are characteristic of the new flamenco approach to an old form. The "new" form smacks of freshness and vigor and Roman's more-than-impressive technique helps his lines soar above the complicated rhythms and sophisticated chords. This new flamenco harmonic mind-set is a result of the young Spanish players mixing their traditional guitar playing with ideas from other styles, like jazz, and the result is that this music appeals to intelligent listeners. Roman's playing at times is reminiscent of Al DiMeola, another artist involved for a long time in the blending of styles to bring forth a new form of guitar music. It is a wondrous aspect of the modern guitar evolution that a young Ukranian could faithfully embrace the Spanish/Gypsy culture with such accuracy. This music is not for the faint of heart; one must have courage to dig deep into the music and discover the creative value within. Kudos to Roman for "Temptation"! /Larry Coryell/...
"...The great musician Frank Colón, once said to me: - "You need to know the work of a Russian guitarist friend of mine, he is very good even playing flamenco music". This intrigued me immediately. With the knowledge and experience of Frank Music, I knew Roman music would really surprise me. Your participation in my project named MusicalNation was a great gift for me and Frank and for our fans. I am very proud to be part of this magnificent work that is "Temptation". I doubt that someone will not yield to the temptation to listen to it over many, many times throughout life. I am always eager to hear more of his work. And whenever is possible, counting with his participation in my work. Roman is one in a million: highest musical knowledge, humility, talent and professionalism. "Roman Rocks..." / Latin Grammy owner, Daniel Figueiredo /
"...Roman is a phenomenal acoustic guitarist. His style is reminiscent of the great Al Dimeola, but of course Roman puts his own and highly individual touch and stamp on the guitar. His ‘Temptation’ CD is a testament to his brilliance. It’s a tour de force!..." /Acoustic Guitar Workshop/

Another wonderful album from Roman Miroshnichenko!

Temptation is a wonderful album and Roman is a great guitarist! Although his playing reveals Al Di Meola's influence, his own techniques shine through. I especially love the title track (Temptation) and also Winter Etude. While the latter is playing, I visualize snow falling. Best wishes and congratulations to Roman for a job well done! :)

Four thumbs up! :)

Two thumbs up for this wonderful album--four thumbs, if I were a monkey. :) I'm neither a monkey, nor a musician, but I know what I like, and I love this music. Roman sounds very creative and professional--the influence of the various guitarists he's played and studied with is obvious. Even so, he has created his own techniques and has not copied any of the masters. I believe Roman Miroshnichenko has a very long and productive career ahead of him.
I'm especially delighted he used the artwork of his young daughter for the cover. The various pink shades are magical, the perfect accompaniment to this album.
Good luck, Roman, and many more cool albums to come!
Bonnie
