Album Notes

The town's of Houghton / Hancock in Michigan's Upper Peninsula became a hot bed of original music during the mid to late '90's. Most of the activity stemmed from a small music club (sub-urban exchange), a studio, and a label run by Bernie Larsen. Named after Lake Superior's Misery Bay, this is the first of 5 Misery Session cd's put out on Spinout Records. They chronicle a movement unique to that place and time. The Misery Session series of CDs is an important part of anyone's collection who is interested or involved in Michigan music.
