I hear a lot of bands on college radio today, that are jam band rock fronted by an acoustic guitarist/vocalist, however I find this group to be way more musically satisfying. I'm unsure of their influences, but I can tell you what I hear. The songs are relatively simple, but that's a good thing in this case; the tunes have room to breathe, not unlike Pink Floyd around the time of albums like More and Obscured By Clouds. I hear touches of Hogarth era Marillion, and lyrically Rush's Neil Peart, only with a more Spiritual touch, that is positive and motivating without being preachy. Highly recomended!
