Album Notes

My interest in performing began for me at a very young age. I am very fortunate to have found a career in which I can live the dream of making a living singing and performing, and still spend most of my time raising my children. I got my BFA in Acting/Directing from Syracuse University. After graduation, I spent 5 years in NYC pursuing a professional acting career. While there, I found a teaching position at a popular play program that was looking for actors. The love of singing for and teaching very young children encouraged me to pursue another avenue in my career. Three years later, I earned my Masters in Teaching from Montclair State University. The program emphasized Early Childhood Education and I earned my NJ Certification for Teaching, Grades N – 8.

During one of the classes I was teaching, someone asked me to do a birthday party for their child – and the rest is history! I began doing children's parties, developing them along the way into my own personal style. So, fifteen years later, my parties are very different than they were and still so much fun to do. A few years ago, I taught myself how to play guitar, which also prompted me to write and record some of my music. I just finished my very first CD, “Sing Along with Miss Dylan.” The children I sing for, from ages 2 - 8, love singing the songs I do for them, and this CD includes most of their favorite songs. "The Friendship Song" I wrote is requested all the time, and I love hearing their voices sing along as they rock side to side with their arms around each other.

I live in Manalapan, New Jersey with my wonderful husband and two children. Currently, I am teaching music and “Mommy & Me” classes at Ivy League Preschool, and music at Lakeview Child Center, both in Manalapan. I also teach Music and Movement at Ivy League Day Camp during the summer. My party schedule is rockin', and I hope soon to be performing for schools, writing, and recording more new music.

Wyatt's FAVORITE CD

We first met Miss Dylan at a Pottery Barn Kids sing-a-long and for my 3 year old son Wyatt it was love at first sight.  We purchased her cd and have been listening to it daily for months. It plays in my car, on my laptop and in Wyatt's room.  When it came time to planning Wyatt's 3rd Birthday we asked Dylan to come to play for the children - lucky for us she was available that day.  It was truly a memorable occasion.  Instead of the ususal tchaki and candy filled goodie bags we deciced to purchase Miss Dylan's cds as party favors.  Now the mom's of Wyatt's little friends tell me all their children want to listen to is Miss Dylan!!!!  We can't wait for her next cd!  Well..."it's time to sing goodbye" and Wyatt & I highly reccomend this WONDERFUL children's cd.

Wonderful CD!

My two-year-old daughter Eliana loves Miss Dylan's cd! Although we've listened to many albums and introduced her to music long ago this is the VERY first time she requests a cd as soon as we step into the car!  She just can't get enough of these wonderfully re-done classics!  Miss Dylan's voice is beautiful & soothing.  Eliana & I are waiting for volume 2!

I work (and play) at the local Paris, AR Senior Center and am looking for some fun for the older Sr. Citizens in our area.  I would love to have the Sr.'s sing some of your songs.  We would need just the words to Itsy Bitsy Spider, On Top of Spaghetti, ABCD, Hello Everybody and or any others you would feel appropriate for the oldies but goodies. My name is Lindsay Ambrosia and my 18 month old daughter Makayla is enrolled in Dylan’s musical mommy and me program.  Dylan’s energy and beautiful singing voice is so captivating I decided to buy my daughter her cd.  If you want to know how much Makayla enjoys listening to this cd her face and body say it all.  Her eyes light up, she has a giant smile from ear to ear and her hands start bouncing up and down to the music. She absolutely adores this musical genre of nursery songs.  I would highly recommend this cd to all of my friends and family with children of pre school level. It is also a great start for children exploring the world of music.
