Missile Silo Suite : Holding Pattern

The music of Missile Silo Suite plays out like a dynamic, melodic, rock and roll tryst between two very dirty guitars (not afraid to show their clean and sensitive side,) and passionate female vocals, both gritty and graceful.

Album Notes

There is something strangely reassuring about the fact that a band like Missile Silo Suite is out there right now. Grandparents, Baby boomers, gen-exers, twenty-somethings, teenagers, children, and house pets alike, can sleep sound in the knowledge that rock and roll is not dying a slow, corporately homogenized death. It is alive and well and living in St.Louis, MO.

With influences ranging from Pearl Jam ,Jawbreaker, Clutch, to R.E.M., Jeff Buckley and Led Zeppelin, Missile Silo Suite is creating a rock and roll voice for the new millenium. Featuring the powerful and dynamic Sarah Laak on vocals, the twin guitar attack of A.D Thurston and Anthony Spinali, and the lock-tight, rhythm section of Chris Bosslet on bass and Jamie Perryman on drums; Missile Silo Suite creates a sound that is enduring, powerful, smart, sexy, and wickedly rock and roll.

Produced by Jacob Detering and Jon Christopher Hughes, the band's first release "Holding Pattern" features passionate rock songs, both raw and radio savvy, that combine complex harmonies, fiery guitar chops, soulful melodies, and insightful lyrics. With well crafted songs, plenty of interesting guitar interplay, huge melodic hooks, and an underlying attitude of pure rock fury, "Holding Pattern" is the first step in the evolving sound of Missile Silo Suite.

This CD is one of the best CD's that I have ever heard. I love how the soft vocals mix with the nice hard guitar riffs and drums. This CD was reccommended to me by my friend Chris, and ever since he sent me a copy, I have fallen in love with mss. I can't wait until the Companion Fare EP is released!

Really great CD. A real honest rock band with stellar vocals. Missile Silo Suite is sure to be a household name if they get people to hear this disc. Really nice songs, fantastic melodies and enough cool guitar riffs and parts to satisfy even the hardest rockers. The rythm section is awesome as well...tight, well thought out drumming mated with one of the most melodic, interesting rock bass players I've heard recently. Very interesting lyrics, and vocalist Sarah Laak has some incredible pipes...The production of the CD is stellar...sounds every bit as good as most major label releases. For a self-released CD the quality is ALL there...if you like Evanescence but want to rock harder...check out this CD.
