Miss Mary just got BETTER!!!!

I fell in love with Miss Mary 4 years ago when I heard her too-short cd "Hey Blue!" which sounded like a Doris Day/Liz Phair love-child wearing a pair of go-go boots. I was VERY excited to see she had a new album out and she hadn't lost what I most loved about her sound - in fact, I was SOOOO happy - I decided to make mixed drinks, step away from the computer and listen to the album outside. The low-fi glory is still there - but the music is richer, the production is SPOT ON! This album sounds like the soundtrack to an afternoon on the patio, sipping purple margarita's. And that's EXACTLY how I listened to it the day it arrived.
I was in music heaven, you might say. Fans of Liz Phair / Dressy Bessy will dig this one - but it needs no comparrison - this is a solid piece of FANTASTIC pop-music-making with a HILARIOUS and witty sense of humour that makes ya wanna *Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh*

author: Jeff Masiey, Music Critic, Port Folio Weekly
If The Click Five needs a touring partner that exudes the same upbeat, '60s-meets-'80s new wave pop, they need look no further than fellow Bostonian Miss Mary. Aided by The Oscillators' Joel Mellin, whose production skills and guitar/keyboard work are key components of the retro sound, Mary puts the highly contagious zing-zang back into girlie pop. And you thought music couldn't be this much fun?

Outré label Stereorrific collaborated with the Waxfruit Arts Media Collaborative on this recording, promoted and distributed in the USA by Dren Records. Mary Saunders wrote the majority of the songs, which are generally quite good.
