Album Notes

"Jelly Belly Boogaloo" (2005) is the proud winner of the 2005 Parent to Parent Adding Wisdom Award, the only award program ever to be honored by Disney.com.

In their Mom Tested Buying Guide, "Parenting Magazine" recommends the CD for 3- to 5-year-olds and says, "Rich vocals and fetching arrangements make this collection of salsa, R&B, and rock tunes a standout. Kid-centric lyrics about planes, trains, and animals will please the intended audience."

Julie Clark, founder of The Baby Einstein Company and The Safe Side, calls it, "Delightful, rockin' music sure to get little ones --- and their 'big ones' --- up and dancing."

Miss Sherri and her Little Animal Band make a refreshing splash in children’s entertainment. Prepare to be wowed by her latest effort as you slip on your grooviest dancin' shoes (preferably green) and experience the hip-hoppin'est interactive dance party ever.

"My Green Shoes" (2006) is an artful pop layer cake of kid-centric lyrics over an eclectic blend of old school hip-hop beats, wailing guitar licks, crooning vocals, and silky smooth saxophone solos. With a funky, bluesy flair, the latest music from former NYC rocker and lead singer Sherri Ehrlich has been hailed, “best music for the little ones and the big ones,” “the Pied Piper;” and “kiddie hipster extraordinaire”…enticing a stampede of excitement across the nation.

"Hot Fun in the Summer Tunes" (2003). Introduce your little ones to traditional songs ala Miss Sherri such as "Old McDonald" and "Pop Goes the Weasel," and original tunes to keep them singing all day long.

Take a trip down Memory Lane with "Spring Alive," released in 2003. Nostalgia meets early childhood music in this compilation of songs and exercises to spring your musical child into action. They'll catch right on to these fun, yet educational bits of musical direction and learn without even knowing it!

"On A Winter's Day" (2002) is a collection of oldies ("Home On the Range" and "Shortnin' Bread"), originals ("Twelve Days of Music" and "Come On Reindeer") and traditional seasonal renditions your children will love.

Miss Sherri is the owner and operator of Honey Child Music, Red Bank’s hippest music and movement center for children. She has opened for Elmo and Gordon, and recently played to sold-out theaters in New Jersey, including The Count Basie Theatre’s 80th Anniversary celebration.

She attended New York University as a musical theater major and has been actively involved in musical performance and education for more than 20 years. She has headed several of her own bands international and is certified by the Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, NJ and Musik Garden, and attended the National Association for Music Education's March 2001 conference in Pittsburgh. Sherri lives in New Jersey with her beautiful son Oliver, the sunshine of her life.

REVIEWS

Parents love this CD, too. Hip rhythms and great hooks.

If you have a low tolerance for kiddie music, you will be more than happy to pop Jelly Belly Boogaloo into the CD player. It's cool, funny, and most importantly, hip. I am a musician raising little future musicians (ages 5 and 3). I've realized that their appreciation for music is a lot more sophisticated than I would have thought at this age. They love just about everything I love, and Miss Sherri has a way of connecting on their level without sacrificing quality or musicality. It's an education for them on many levels! She's great in concert, too!!!
