Born in Los Angeles, CA; and raised in New Orleans, LA., Mista Love Jones didn't know anything about spokenword poetry until he saw the movie "love jones". Since 2003 Mista Love Jones has been writing and performing spokenword at venues all over the City of New Orleans and surrounding areas. His debut album entitled "Emotions From The Soul" is a must have, and is considered a classic collection of intriguing word play, heart felt emotions, and captivating music. The essence of his work embodies life, love, and relationships. His deep, dark voice carries the sensual volume that takes his listeners to places only Mista Love Jones can. Mista Love Jones caters to women. He loves women. Women are his inspiration and it shows in every piece that he has completed. And although he truly believes that women are the most beautiful creations to grace mother earth, he tries to maintain some sort of balance and not always paint a pretty picture because in most relationships there is good and bad.
