ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
INTRODUCTION: This project began production on June 19th 2010 and production was completed on July 21st 2012. Digital release: 8/7/2012 Official release: 8/21/2012. While this concept compilation project didn't require anywhere close to the amount of production time used, Mitchell Seeds was in a growth and developement stage as an artist in regards to the nature of his relationship with Jesus as well as becoming an artist who needed to achieve the ability to become a stellar performer of the high qulity of music which was being produced in the studio where he currently works.

"THIS IS ALL STRATEGIC." Mitchell Seeds explains to his friend and long time production guru, Madik of Madik Nnovation and ProLegend Records. "Even though I have been doing hiphop music since April 2000 and a recording artist since 2004 there are so many things I havn't done right and so many things I have had to learn and now I understand that the message in my music can only be reinforced by the quality of the product. There's no other way. Understanding that professionalism and excellence translates the journey that God's grace has allowed me to endure and the message of hope and honors God in no other way possible has been key to my growth as an artist. When I was young in music I was prideful and I can honestly say I was unjustified in skill and performance in wearing that attitude. It stunted my growth with this attitude and I had to take the scenic route in getting to the destination of excellence in all things A-Z. So I say this project is strategic because it's a building block on the foundation of a great career but most importantly setting a solid foundation and standard as a representative of my faith and what I stand for."

MITCHELL SEEDS EXPLAINS HIS STANCE IN MUSIC "So just to get this out of the way, I don't label myself as a christian artist, even though my values and beliefs are 100 percent scripture based, and thats what your gonna get eat when I'm servin it up. If someone does label me as such, that's cool but I'm not. I'll put it to you like this. Matisyahu isn't called a Jewish artist and Lupe fiasco isn't called a Muslim artist, even though that's who they are. They are simply referred to as artists."

WHAT IS "THE FIX" ABOUT? Mitch's life changed in '99 after an overdose and a trip to the ER where his life nearly ended. "I was clearly at the point of no return according to most people." He had no allegiances, no stake to claim in this life. He had no loyalty to God, country, or family or friends and was without wife or child. The only thing he had was a gigantic chip on his shoulder that was easily the weight of this world, coming from a broken home where pure rebellion had taken deep root. "I lived my life like everyone else owed me something. I had an identity crisis at 18 years old and you will to until you know who Christ is."
After a near death expierience which caused him to cry out to God and call upon the name of Jesus, his life was shaken to the core and will be changed forevermore.
In '99 the Seed was originally planted by then mentor and co-founder of the group FlatlineHiphop, Pastor Cesar Marti and later had another member and brother in arms added, DeadFlesh. In 2006 after FlatlineHiphop was officially dis-banded Mitchell Seeds took a few years off, moved from New Mexico to Denver CO and then in 2010 he and his wife headed back to the Santa Fe-Albuquereque area. "Now the time is ripe and this Seed has grown into a tree" he says of the situation after reconnecting with Madik.
Mitchell Seeds has an aggressive stage presence to be reckoned with and two new projects on the horizon, after "The Fix" (which is his own brand of short stories surrounding the struggles with sin and addiction to things like drugs, alcohol, lust and himself) in which the title track belongs to a re-united FlatlineHiphop for one last ride of the flatline. "The Fix" has a feature artist line-up of The Madik, Illusent, Braille, MicKnight, his wife Eturnity, Rena, Cyrus, and Russell with cuts by DJekleklic and is a sure bet to hit you right between the eyes and with his debut solo set for a subsequent 2013 release, "you'll see, hear and believe for yourself 2 Corinthians 9:6"

"It would be utter ridiculousness for me to attempt appealing to you without being whole heartedly Christ-centered and gospel driven."
