"A new golden age of pop has begun." Unknown
Learn How To Love is the long-awaited follow up to Linker's critically acclaimed 2005 solo debut. Die-hard fans will recognize a number of these tracks, as many of them have appeared on other albums (prior eps, albums by bands Linker has been in etc....)in different forms, either mixed or mastered differently or sung in a foreign language. But even if some of it sounds familiar, taken together in this order, with this brand-new, crystal clear master, it's worth a listen. It's Linker at his most polished, cohesive, melodic and oddly, happy. While he commonly describes his music as a cross between the Fountains of Wayne, Rufus Wainwright, Brian Wilson, Elton John, Paul Simon and Billy Joel, he's really more like a 1 man Abba.

Mellow, meaningful music
author: Gary Scharg
Great music for keeping yourself mellow while driving. Linker is a great composer, the songs are well produced without being over-produced. Compositions remind you of Elton, Billy Joel and other keyboard singer-songwriters of the 70's. Vocals are so smooth...think Gerry Beckley of America or Jeff Larson.

Listen to a Mitch Linker song once, and I guarantee you'll be singing it the nex

I'm always anxious to see how Mitch Linker's songwriting continues to evolve. "Learn How to Love" is a solid sophomore effort, and a truly enjoyable album from start to finish. As a person with a short attention span, my personal acid-test for a winning album is that it seems to end too soon, and this one certainly does.
Mitch Linker's songwriting craft is better than ever. While his songs may appear simple at first, after listening through, their complexity becomes apparent. All the while that you're taking in the story and the many subtle "layers" of meaning, the melodies sneak up on you and become hard-wired. Don't be surprised if you start humming his melodies incessantly or just full on singing his sumptuous songs in the shower!
This is '70s-style power pop at it's absolute best and Mitch Linker has delivered yet again.
