ABOUT UNREEL:
Unreel is MK-O second 2CD album. A colourful world of sound unreeled in 103 minutes. Not a pompous "concept album", but an endless musical coherence created by an imagination inspired by almost everything. Classical and jazz, psychedelia, progressive and new wave, techno and industrial, ethnic and drum n' bass and traditional greek. 15 out of 23 tracks are instrumental leaving a quite significant number of songs. The lyrics are both english and greek. The orchestrations even more solid than OVATION, with a strong presence of brass and strings, along with the standard electronic - rock band armory. It is a sense of complete that characterizes UNREEL.

BIOS:
MARINA KANAVAKI
Her talent in music and painting is evident from a very early age. Studied art and music in Athens and London. Classical piano, jazz improvisation and classical singing. Now a creative art director. Has had her work shown in Smith΄s Gallery (London) and painting exhibitions in Epohes gallery, in Athens. Her first album, titled POTE & TIIPOTA (Jamais et Rien - Never & Nothing), based on poems by Elias Petropoulos, was released by VIRGIN/EMI, in 2000, in Greece. The album was composed, arranged, performed and produced by her. Cinematic, experimental, lyrical with ethereal vocals. In 2004 the album was rearranged by OANNES and released by NEFELI (Elias Petropoulos’s book editor).

OANNES
Oannes plays & writes music at a very early age. He has been in a variety of local rock & electronic bands for years, resulting 5 albums of his music. Also written film scores. His solo album OANNES: INVERTED A, based on piano-electronics, was released in 2003. Singer, songwriter, guitar and piano player. Progressive rock, punk - new wave, Detroit techno, electro - industrial, industrial - metal background. Musical Director of SOUND, oldest and most respected Hi - Fi & Musical Magazine in Greece. After producing and rearranging Marina Kanavaki’s album POTE & TIPOTA in 2004 formed the duet MK-O .

MK-O
The acquaintance of the two musicians in 2000, led to a fruitful collaboration. The first outcome of this was the rearranged version of Marina’s first album “Pote & Tipota” , in 2004 . Today, as a duet [MK-O], are working on a series of albums, first of which was OVATION, their debut album, released in December 2006 by Hitch-Hyke. Their second 2CD album UNREEL was released October 13th 2008 by Hitch Hyke.
