Album Notes

Are you tired of the predictable? Tired of musical "pop culture" that lacks substance and relevance? "The One" is filled with songs about the "Human Condition". Songs of joy, songs of loss, songs of discovery, songs of triumph and of course, love.

In spite of tragic personal loss this album project refused to die. The recording process spanned 15 months, six states and over 2500 miles. The final tracks were recorded in the back of a 31 foot motorhome in a suburban Los Angeles parking lot near LAX. Listen carefully and you might hear the Metro passing by or the sound of a 747 landing in the background.

Something you won't have to listen carefully for is the unmistakeable sound of Mark and Mary Kings floored-out wall of 4x12 speaker cabinets powered by classic Marshall and Boogie tube amplifiers. If you like Metallica and can handle the "F" word, check out track number one, "Loaded Gun" (that's the only track with explicit lyrics). We tried to find less offensive language but these are the words the universe gave us. Want some modern Blues? Check out track nine, "Living In You Lies" which chronicles modern internet love gone bad.

"Metal Monday" is filled with blues set against a background of funk and rock power chords. "Heaven Is Meant For Two" breaks new ground and delivers an unpredictable roller coaster ride of epic proportions.

Listen to this album and you're sure to find it's one of those unique compositions that continues to give up hidden nuggets and treasures with each listen while growing on you more and more. It truly is, a gift from the Universe!
