ML looks like he wants to be the next R. Kelly. Frankly, if this album is anything to go by, he's certainly got what it takes to do just that. Had anyone else recorded these overtly sexual songs, it would have come off as skanky. One song, Can We Make a Movie?, talks about recording a night to remember for posterity. ML, with his silky smooth vocals and vulnerable tenor, makes it something actually worth considering. The standout tracks, however, are those that see ML deviating and doing straight-up love-'em-and-lose-'em ballads. The pick of the crop, Baby I Was Wrong, recalls early James Ingram (but with real soul).
