"Mom Mike's singing Again."

That was a very familiar phrase when I
was growing up... and you know. I still
am. However, in those early days I did
not know how to sing. I liked to watch the
"Judy Garland Show" and thought that if
I could do what she did, then I could be a
star. So I danced and pretend to entertain
a make believe audience. Then came Lawerence
Welk! Wow,what talent was on the TV then!
In my Senior year I joined the Choir and have
been hooked ever since. I became involved in
Musical theater and then I began singing
lessons.

I sang at musical events for commercial
work, at church and in cabarrets to raise
money for charitable events such as fund
rasing to purchase a piano for the church,
AIDS research and cancer research.

I was working with my vocal coach Gregg
Tallman(now deceased) and was involved
with him in the Fairbanks, Alaska Music
Festival. There I met Mary cleere Haran
and she was the one who said that I should
do jazz instead of opera...the rest is history.

I became a singing waiter in Max's
Opera Cafe in Walnut Creek and San Francisco
California.

My goal was to create a CD before I was 40 and
although I did not reach that specfic goal,
my life changing directions inspired me to
continue with my dreams.

The name Perhaps Love came from my good friend
Dennis Crow. I sang Perhaps Love at my grandmothers
second wedding when she was in her eighties.

Today after ending a 24 year relationship,
I am now moving on and in love once more,so
"Perhaps Love" is the key.

I want to dedicate this CD to the memory of my mom,
Lorna Frederick whom I loved very much. She
died of cancer at the age of 56. I WILL BE
CONTRIBUTING 20% OF ALL PROCEEDS TO CANCER
RESEARCH. It is a way to give back to the
wonderful women who brought me into this
amazing world.

I hope you enjoy this CD and I enjoy sharing
it with you, and remember that it is the
Spirit within that does the work.

As my friend Maxine would say,
"If the dream is big enough, the facts don't count."
