It's Marius's first CD, and he and his friends are coming up with a modern, hip-hop jazziness layered throughout with tasty guitar licks over some of the most amazingly danceable and diverse rhythm concoctions.
World class performer Jonathan Wright on vocals, keys and rhythm guitar wrote a lot of the music, generating a jazzy and genuine cool vibe.
Mike Scartezina does the excellent percussion recipes together with Charlie Bruzza on traps; these buddies interlock solidly with each other.
Kacy Todirita rocks the low end with her traditionally inspired bass lines while adding harmonizing vocal backups.
Marius has performed with Planet Jam, One Blood Reggae Band, Arjun & Guardians, Jah Levi, Fantuzzi, Scott Huckaby, Spirit Familia, Steven Baird, Batucaxe, Rosados Dos Malandragem and Daniel Paul (of Jay Uthal), and regularly has other musicians studying his smooth but speedy mode-melding solo style during live performances.
This CD is the co-operation of some friends from the Samba Malandragem band and some Planet Jam members together with Omar Garbarena's DJ scratching all from hot Tucson, Arizona. This collection was recorded by Marius, enabling a single sensibility to unify many musical styles.
