Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, this fourth disc from M.O.B
is the melting pot of such bands as Judas Priest, Kiss & Ozzy. But most of all, this album is really a case of M.O.B's own style of rock'n'roll and sharp metal. This will hit You in the rock'n'roll stomach! After M.O.B released their first CD "Read My Hips", they did a lot gigs in the Stockholm area and made themselves a well known name. Their highly acclaimed follow up albums "Loony Tunes and "Merrie Melodies" brought the band to a larger audience and they played the Sweden Rock Festival together with bands like W.A.S.P, Helloween, Gary Moore and Hammerfall.
Here is "White Trash Stomp", and with it's
ferocious production and energy, nothing can stop this disc from melting Your speakers!!
Be sure to also check out the brand-new 2008 album,
"The Greatest Enemy" as well as the other M.O.B albums

M.O.B. - White Trash Stomp
Scandanavian outfit M.O.B. has put out a series of charming straight ahead hard rock records with a slice of eccentricity and a minor nod to modern rock tendencies. Their latest, White Trash Stomp, continues this trend. Fredrik Notling, is a charismatic yet passionate, playful yet serious enough vocalist worth listening to on his own merits. The music is engaging and hooky, especially on "Alone But Not Lonely", a mid tempo number with the guitar doing a tight, sensual tango with the bass on the floor of a straight ahead beat. A sunshiny piece, "Going Forward", is a hopeful track laced with the broad positive lyrics you'd expect. Basically, the kind of song that applies to anyone looking for a pinch of optimism to put them over the edge. Still, social commentary wrestles for attention via "Documentary Mayhem" and "Damned Nation." Somehow, by the grace of God, they actually make a chorus with the words "Documentary Mayhem" sound rather cool. Mixing wise, the album could use a bigger sounding lower end and more separation. Some of the material deserves a fuller sound, but as an indie act, it still communicates competent enough. In the end, the band successfully battles attitude with fun in a way that would have made them listenable 15 years ago and will 15 years from now. --Brian Coles 4/5
