ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Mo’Blues formed in Santa Fe, Argentina in 1999. The Band is comprised of bassist and vocalist Sebastian Casis, guitarist and vocalist Frederico Teiler, piano and accordion player Gabriel De Pedro and drummer Ruben Tissenbaum. A wonderful mix of English and Spanish lyrics gives them pride in their distinctive sounds as an exciting South American Blues Band. They pull in an audience while “teaching” some songs to the listeners in Spanish. This high energy band with the right amount of soft touches combines a mesh of culture resulting in the Mo’Blues unmistakable sound. This sound combines their own local music with the best from American Blues.

One year later, they were playing the Bluestock Festival in Memphis with the likes of Rufus Thomas, Buddy Guy and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. On that same trip, the band cut its first record “Rush Hour” at Ardent Studios in Memphis.

“We play as we feel” says Sebastian Casis. “We grew up listening to the great Blues Masters and 70’s Rock, but we didn’t know about the special nuances and little stuff that we do differently in our style until we came to the US. People here say we sound different because we incorporate some things from our culture into the Blues”.

Blues with a Latin beat, infectious, awesome
Doesn't matter if you understand Spanish or not, this CD will get your feet tapping. The sensual gravely voice of lead singer Frederico Teiler blends with the synchronized playing, almost as one, of the drummer, keyboard & bass guitar to create a unique Blues sound with a Latin beat. Check out the guitar on track 8 - La Pluma Del Cabure.

Blues from Argentina

WOW! These guys are tight, professional and fun!
Loved this CD. The crossover with Spanich and English is so incredible. Hot guitar lick and good rides. The band complements one another and swap leads. Arrangements are well done and covers definately show a personal touch. Fun Fun Fun. I haven't shaken my BLUES butt in a while like I did to this. When are they coming back to the States? I want to see them live. Great job Mo Blues. Loved it!

Latin flavored Blues and it Rocks!
¨Combustión Espontánea¨ has the hottest Blues tracks I've heard in a long time, you really can tell a lil' of latin american influences in this powerful blend that keeps the best of the Blues and the power of classic rock.
Check out the burnin' Bass intro in ¨Loquita¨
