notes
Mockingbird is an acappella trio, consisting of Robin Wallbridge, Sherrie Lutsch and Lesley Rigg. They have been delighting audiences throughout the Pacific Northwest for over eight years.
Brewing their songs, both humorous and heartfelt, about daily life (motherhood, coffee, rain, relatives and love), they also sing messages about tolerance, unity, and peace.
Mockingbird's repertoire is broad, crossing genres and generations, covering greats from Lennon & McCartney to Stephen Foster to Joni Mitchell, as well as some wonderfully quirky new tunes of their own. This group is obviously having fun while they sing and they smoothly pass it on to the listener.

Mockingbird - WE3
(self-released, CD2002, mockingbird3@earthlink.net)
Admit it: we¹re all suckers for a cappella. Creativity with the
unaccompanied voice is the purest expression, and moves and touches things
deep within us. Perhaps for that reason a cappella performances are, more
than most genres, best enjoyed live; and why it¹s the rare a cappella record
that holds the listener¹s interest all the way through. So, friends, meet
the rare: WE3, by the trio Mockingbird, stays fresh and interesting and
delightful from start to finish, and more remarkably, does so without the
sound effects and schtick that even some of the big names resort to. The
group cheerfully and confidently takes on the canon (Away Ye Merry
Lassies), the hits (Teach Your Children), and seeks out weird wonders
from afar (the hilariously thought-provoking ³Co-dependent With You, by
east coast whiz John Forster). The harmonies are beautiful but edgy rather
than lush, and the arrangements keep the music moving by changing tempos and
spotlighting different members, not through startling interjections and
techno-scat. (Tom Petersen)

Mockingbird
author: Deb JohnsonThis is one of my favorite albums. I heard Mockingbird several years ago when I was in Bellingham, Washington. I was with my neice and they gave her a copy of their CD that night. I talked her out of it! Now I've purchased three more to give to friends for Christmas. I think their voices and their songs are wonderful. It's such a great variety of music (melodies and lyrics)and the more I listen to the songs, the more I enjoy them. Several of the songs tell exactly how I feel about life - especially "There is Some Peace" and "Goodness and Mercy." I laugh everytime I hear "Co-dependent With You," although it's only too true! Will there be a new album soon? I hope so! Thanks Mockingbirds!!
Mockingbird's music fills every pore of your being
author: Wanda MaddoxJust when you think it couldn't get any better, Robin comes up with "A Little Romance". Mockinbird: We 3 really brings to us all the multi-flavors of their great music, and having tasted all of this, you feel very full and content indeed. It is wonderful to have the Mockingbird reminders to not take ourselves too seriously. And just about the moment you have relaxed into that mode, the next song, with such profound, wise words and glorious sounds, inspires you to open to all that life presents. And the overall prevailing theme that echoes in the hallways of your mind and heart long after listening to the music of Mockingbird is the peaceful and loving flow of life that is ours to claim if we only dig deeply enough.
