Album Notes

MOHANDERS stands for ambitious, melodic music of sincere emotions without drifting into depressing sorrowfulness. Relaxed pieces performed in a laid-back way with delicate interplay resulting in conclusive songs - little wonder all 14 tracks were 3 years in the making.
The mature guitar work of MICHAEL GRAEFE and SVEN BÄZNER - with his mysteriously whispering singing voice - sets a mood to be sensually immersed in. Guest vocalist MARTINA VOGT emphasises a course that melodiously fits the romantic soundscapes

Sven Bäzner
- 6 and 12 string western guitar, e-guitar, blues harp
- Self taught from the age of 11, inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan, Neil Young or Leonard Cohen
- By 1982 he writes his own lyrics and compositions
- 1983 first gigs with own material
- 1989-2000 CD recording under the moniker "Sick Sinus Syndrom"
- 2003 sees the formation of the MOHANDERS project for the RELAXRECORDS label

Michael Graefe
- 6 and 12 string acoustic guitars, e-guitar, mandolin, e-bass, blues harp
- Self taught guitarist since 1976
- By the early 80s he makes himself a name by gigging clubs in and around Hamburg
- His musical roots are Leo Kottke, Harry Sacksioni, David Qualey, Werner Lämmerhirt, but also Johann Sebastian Bach
- 2001 sees the release of his "Landscape" CD comprising all original compositions on his own RELAXRECORDS label
- Biggest achievement is the track "Condor", which amongst others is not only used as signature tune for radio programmes, but likewise for a TV documentary
- In 1980 Michael Graefe starts building the greater part of his guitars himself due to his interest in building guitars and his desire to have instruments at hand that are true to his own necessities
