Moiré (formerly MYME) started in early 1997 with Ryan Albright (bass), Waylon Callahan (vocals), Ryan Clark (guitar) and Adam Lichtenauer (drums). A couple months later, the band began playing multiple shows and has ceased to stop since. In April '98 the band played a benefit show for Make a Wish Foundation helping raise $5300.

Moiré recorded and produced their first demo in January '99 with the tracks: "Friendly Gesture", "Flatliners", "Paperclip", "A New Breed of Silence", and "Enigma." Soon after its release, the group felt the music wasn't true towards their roots and pursued a more vigorous sound. In October 2000, the band entered the studio to record two tracks: "Animal Kingdom" and "Planet of The Apes." November 2001, Moiré signed with 213 records and recorded the tracks: "6", "Mode", and "Blue Smoke" at Westend Studios in 13 total hours. July 2002, Moiré begin work on the 8 song ep consisting of "Branded for life", "Voice the Relapse", "Infraction", "The Circle", "Kinjite", "Reclaim the Temple", and newer versions of "6" as well as "Enigma."

In September 2002, Moiré recruited long time friend Paul Kelley to handle the programming. With the addition of Paul, Moiré has now enhanced their sound, mending the world of Metal with an Industrial/Ambient feel. (Side note: Paul Kelley was on the very first Myme cd, with some vocals on the hidden track "Three Flavor Popcorn.)

-"We the five piece, all original, band Moiré have played as many shows, in as many places as possible. We've played with the likes of many local greats. Some that have come and gone since 97. With the conviction and passion we see in our fans eyes; us, as a band, know we create a powerful aura. We've never competed with or against any other bands, yet we're not liked by many in our genre. We are Moiré; you either love us or hate us."-
