Album Notes

The Moist Guitars first got together at Head Studios on 22nd street not far from the Chinatown district of Chicago. All the members had different bands based in Oak Park Il. in the early 90s, and got together when their previous groups disbanded. Previous bands included D.Y.P. (punk) The Raving Mad (experimental hard rock) Curious George (power pop) and 3 Headed Grandparents. (really experimental) The members were also influencial in the early Chicago house and acid house music scene along with Marcuss Mixx. When the band first formed they decided to try something different, instead of playing lots of live gigs and going on long tours (which they were all tired of doing) They created a tv show on cable access and only played live occasionally. This combination has blossomed in to a highly creative and entertaining endeavor The tv show is a mixture of tasteless and sometimes raunchy comedy, live music and videos they have produced. Their live shows have turned in to high energy theatrical events that showcase their diverse influences and talents.
