ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The band lead by Alessandro Battistini (lead guitar and vocals) takes-up a musical time period spacing from the end of the 60's until the 1st five-years of the 70's, having a flair for live performances and for the home-made quality of its sounds. As well, The Spell complies with its aims.
Taking as template "Exile On Main St.", The Rolling Stones' album dated 1972 and recorded inside a villa in Côte d'Azur, the Mojo Filter quartet got their seclusion near Bergamo (Milan) and recorded the 4 tracks of this EP with few sessions carried out between a concert and the other, autonomously and with their proverbial “live” conception, so easy and evocative of those times.

As well as in "Exile On Main St.", The Spell is a contrasting album too, so the well-rendered British influences - in Who's or Stones' style - are set beside a peculiar American psychedelic or roots oriented ballad.
