Album Notes

Rocky Mountain based soulful, rock and funk band Mojomama releases a musical journey on their second album.
Lead singer Jessica Rowand comes to life on this album and steps into your living room bringing you classic sounds reminiscent of Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt and Aretha Franklin .
The musical styles vary on the 11 songs from 70's R&B with horns to Latin flavored rock to Blues of the 40's era. The album is very mature and organic sounding throughout featuring great musicianship, thought provoking lyrics, and world class vocals .
There is something for everyone on this album and when listened to in it’s entirety you will truly find yourself on a musical journey of your very own.
The addition of a wonderful gospel choir featured on the tribute to New Orleans track “Take it or leave it”, further adds to the joy and celebration of life evident in this new music.

Think.Feel.Love.Listen - A true musical journey and message
author: Glenn Tapia
The title of this album is perfect. Think.Feel.Love.Listen is a true cognitive, emotional, sensory, and musical experience for any music lover. When I first bought this album, I thought I would listen to a song here and there over time. This album is best enjoyed from start to finish without any interruptions or disractions. Starting with 'River' the album puts you in a mindset of peace and calm. You suspect that the rest of the album has a message. The next several songs 'Heavens Sake', 'Take It Or Leave It', 'Till You Come Around' and 'Social Crisis' deliver polished songwriting, flawless engineering, and tasty musicianship on the part of this exciting band. The instrumental 'Rio Mojo' provides a heavy groove and funky break in the overall message of the album (although the heavy but abbreviated groove is a teaser - leaves you wanting much more of this great groove). The next four songs continue 'the message' of the album. Artfully, the album finishes with a reprise of where it started - prompting the listener to think back to the beginning - and then hit "repeat" on the CD player. This is my favorite album of 2006!! Get the message and buy this killer album.
