Album Notes

recognized as one of the finest interpreters of
traditional music as well as an outstanding vocalist
in other styles, molly andrews brings a directness
and intensity to everything she sings.
she is currently performing extensively on stages
great and small across the u.s. and in europe.

"andrews is a quintessential roots vocalist."
- john moore, denver post

Molly Andrews.. transcended the show/stage/theater/planet Earth with her badass vocal stylings. We're buying her CD. We're thinking of following her around the country like people used to follow the Dead.
On your way into the Rep for this show you'll see a guy camped out along Mercer in a tie-dyed shirt selling mushroom tea or Budweisers by the can or something.
That'll be Seattlest. A fan is born.
- the seattlest, march 2007

"ms. andrews, a consummate artist, locks into every song -
the heartbreakers, the hymns, the ballads, the hits -
and finds its soul. her voice is the real thing..
truly moving."
- jackie demaline, cincinnati enquirer

GREAT CD !!! I was looking for a copy, if it's even made, of a CD of the performance of "Fire on the Mountain"..and came upon this CD. And am I ever glad I did !!! It's not often I find a CD Appalachian music...what I usually find is Bluegrass...not that there's anything wrong with Bluegrass..I love it. Ms Andrews brings Appalachian music to life. She's awesome !!!! Hope to hear more from her.

She captures the heart of the mountains

Molly Andrews has captured the heart and soul of the Blue Ridge Mountains with this CD. It's incorporates our old country roots, yet it also resonates with the spirit of today's Appalachia. A great big plus, she doesn't try to genericize the accent to fit in with the masses. Bravo!
