"Venter sings, like most young writers, about relationships, what's striking about her work is her awareness of her place in the struggle. There's a surprising lack of blame and judgement here; a real search for meaning that should touch listeners of all age."
- Andrew Calhoun, Waterbug Records
"One CDBABY reviewer writes; 'Few singers turn first time listeners into eternal fanatics as effortlessly as Molly Venter; her voice is an unbelievable burgundy, many notes, flavors, fragrances and it all goes down like silk.'"
-American Songwriter Magazine, 2006
"Molly Venter's deep, soulful voice seems larger than her small frame could possibly produce. See her perform live, though, and one learns that her stage presence magnifies her, steals any show and demands attention."
-Idaho Mountain express, 2004
Hi! This is Molly. I love writing and singing for people. I love to dance and read and walk around new places. I've spent formative years in New Haven, CT, Western Massachusetts and Vermont, Ketchum Idaho, Austin Texas, and most recently, Guanajuato MX. Now all I want for Christmas is a camper van, a cellist and a percussionist; I've got the atlas.
Many many thanks for the support of my family and my friends.

Exceptional
author: David Jackson
This is a stunningly good album. I probably have 1,000 albums in my obsessively acquired collection and this is in the top twenty, for sure. I like her sparse acoustic stuff (the first three albums) where the songwriting and the great voice make compelling listening, but this part-rework of an earlier album with full arrangements is just exceptional. This is not just a great small label release album; it stands alongside the best of those with far loftier reputations. Whatever else you buy from cdbaby, acquire this one. It will be the best $10 you spend this year.

So Fantastic!
author: Jason Daniels
A complete reworking of the earlier 'Love Me Like You Mean It' this record is backed by a fantastic full band and the songs are given new depth without losing their intimacy. The title track, Great Ocean and Stars are standouts in a super strong set of songs. Highly recommend this record.
