Album Notes

The group the Minstrels of Mayhem started in 1991 with Ty Billings and Jerry Barry and has evolved from a duo to a four person band. They are all accomplished songwriters and performers, adding humor and loveable antics to their performances. They have broken category barriers often with songs from multiple styles and performances geared to specific themes.

The Minstrels of Mayhem (or MOM) have 6 cd's and 2 solo cd's available. The Adventures in Storyville cd was their 3rd release, having come from the need for penance from their Live release that had very adult songs. This release is very popular with college students, teachers, and librarians and offers the listener a look back at what it was like to be young again. From the viewpoint of a child ending summer vacation (School Daze), an introduction to Capt'n Hook before the mishap (The Ballad of Cap'tn Hook), and a parent to child talk about what goes bump in the night (Boogie Man), these songs are addictive and you can easily sing along.

You can see the Minstrels of Mayhem perform live around the country as they visit Renaissance Festivals and evening venues with their natural wit and musical abilities. MOM has hundreds of songs in their repertoire and about as many jokes to keep you entertained and coming back for more.
