Album Notes

This album contains music for your mind, body and soul. It takes you on a spiritual journey from dark to light reflecting the beauty and the struggles of today's challenges, both in the world and from with in. Every song is a dime in its own right and builds up to the next, giving the listener an in depth story line that concludes with the transformation from a caterpillar to a butterfly. Monarch delivers a jewel entitled "The Transformation" a 5 star concept album, laced with powerful-enchanted lyrics and bone crushing beats, which features the likes of: Gift of Gab of Blackalicious, Zumbi of Zion I, Marty James of One Block Radius and many more.

Monarch is a hardcore/conscious hip hop trio which consists of vocalists Wes Wright, Misolanius, and producer/beat-maker SevenhertZ, as well as heavy production contributions from Sac towns Dr. Bennett of the group Dirt Merchants. With Misolanius's aggressive, spine chilling flow and Wes Wright's tung twisty mystical delivery over Sevenhertz's rugged head bangin beats combine a untouchable sound that is sure to show you that Hip-Hop is indeed very alive. Monarch put out there debut E.P. entitled "The Beginning," in july of 08 which is the precursor for the full length album entitled "The Transformation" which was released feb 2010. The LP album is a militant-minded, revolutionarily oriented, and spiritually guided concept album, which had been in the works for almost 4 years, due to taking care of life's demands. Lyricist Wes Wright currently lives in his hometown of Chico, lyricist and executive producer Misolanius lives in the yay area, and producer/beat-maker SevenhertZ lives in Outerspace. Current Collaborators on the album include bay area's infamous Gift of Gab of Blackalicious, MC Zumbi of the legendary duo Zion I, Marty James of One Block Radius and previously of Scapegoat Wax, Tetrarue and Chance 1 of Chicos Dialecs, Chico soul singer Alpine, Madix of the Dirt Merchants, Kristo of the Sol Rebelz, and So Stubby AKA Mr. Popular from the Bay, as well as many more. Additional instrumentation has also been provided by Quannum Projects musician "General Elektriks", as well as sratches by Sir Tipp from Risky Buisness. This album will be taking real hip hop to the next level and puts everybody in check from wack clone ass rappers to dirty politicians. The precursor for the main full length album entitled "Monarch The Beginning The E.P." was released 06/15/08 with 2 remixes done by Kristo of the Sol Rebels. These 2 albums will be greatly noted!
