Monika has the gift of emotional connection through her voice, not just the words. I love listening to her Polish songs. My head has no clue what they're saying, but my heart is right there with her, somehow. For me at least, Monika has what Judy Garland had. What I'm talking about is how Judy gave everything in her performances: heart and soul, physical and emotional strength. I've heard that after a show she was completely empty, beyond exhausted. And she also had a gift of connecting personally with her audiences on a very personal level. I get those feelings from Monika. World-class song writing, maniacally good piano, and great singing are what you'll find here. Listen to Wroci Jak Fala and if you don't fall in love a little, you're not paying attention.

Beautiful, simply beautiful. I do not understand the polish language but Monika's voice carries so much feeling in it. It gives the sound of it meaning. I look forward to hearing more of her.

I already have my favorites from this cd. Monika has a lovely voice with so much expression. I do not understand Polish but the way Monika sings is universal. Wonderful feeling over all to this cd. I would certainly recommend listening. Now even my neighbors are asking who she is. I know when something is good, when it's great and when it's real. I already look forward to the next cd.
