Hello, I'm Monique Tate (but you can call me "Mo"). This scripture verse describes what my life as been like for the past 6 years. You can say I've been through "the refiners fire". Whew! And it sure is hot in there!

Since 1997, my life hasn't been the same. One minute I'm a car pooling, career mom, the next I'm flat on my back as a result of an automobile accident. I am a very outgoing person and this sudden seclusion was depressing and literally drove me crazy. I even lost my desire to sing. Well when you're down, there's only one place to look....and that is up. I turned to my Elohim and asked Him..."What am I going to do now?"

In the quietness, He began to humble me, refine me, and redirect me (Track 8). I had a real spiritual awakening (Track 4). Instead of complaining about my circumstances, I began to see my life in a positive light. Here I was with this great opportunity to pour my love and attention into my family and my home on a full time basis. And when you are alone, with time to spare, you find out a lot of interesting things about yourself:

I found that having a "right" relationship with The Most High is the most important thing in my life (Tracks 2 & 5). I'm concerned about the condition of the world in which we live in today (Tracks 9, 10 & 11 * contains reference to "the christ"). I like to inspire people to think positively and to seek truth at all costs (Tracks 7 & 12). I've discovered that I have a heart for my people, those who are lost, hopeless and forgotten (Tracks 1 & 6).

So there it is brothas and sistas. I had found my purpose, I found my voice. "GOIN' UNDER" is my spiritual journey toward truth, it is my call to the lost and the forgotten. I hope this work blesses you as much as it blessed me to conceive it.
