Album Notes

Ervin Monroe and Terry Herald have been friends since the early 1980s, when they collaborated on their first publications for flute and guitar, which were released in 1982. After many years of working on other musical projects together, they have finally completed their first recording for flute and guitar, featuring themselves as soloists. Pavane for flute and guitar contains two original works by Terry Herald, as well as many unique arrangements by these two distinguished musicians. The heart of the CD is centered around early dance music including pavanes, siciliennes, and other dances dating from the 13th century forward. Their work together has resulted in a CD with listening appeal, full of charm and style. Relax and enjoy these lovely moments.
