It's common to hear a new hip-hop artist instantly compared to superstar emcees like Xzibit, Eminem and 2Pac, but Montage is not your common type of emcee.

"I have no idea where it came from," he says of his unique approach to the game. "It just happened. It just felt like the natural progression. I started as a DJ, then I just couldnt resist all this creative stuff happening." Like many highly creative artists, Montage needs a variety of contexts to express the full range of his musical vision.

Montage has just completed his first official release, The M Album, set to hit the streets early 2008. He has also formed his own indie lable, Cali Heights Records, rostering a collective of outstanding musicians ranging from strictly Hip-hop producers to solo guitatists.

The M Album is causing huge ripples in the sea of hip-hop music, showing the diversness of this extraordinary artist.

Born Philip Corbin on August 9, 1979, Montage is a 8-year veteran of the hip-hop music scene, appearing on shows such as The World Famous Wake Up Show with Sway (MTV) & Tech and the ESPN Summer X Games. With a history and scope of activities as varied and jam-packed as his native city, San Jose, it's no wonder why Montage is about to storm the industry.
