Album Notes

Got Soul?.....Garry & the Moodswingers have been on the scene for 14 years with 2 CDs out and plenty of miles logged on the road. Bandleader Garry Segal handles vocals, and harp as well as the songwriting. This CD "Go Fever" also features some special guests including Roomful of Blues guitarist Chris Vachon. Not a typical blues album, as the cover tunes include soul master O.V. Wright, Sam & Dave and old Ike Turner material. The originals go from rockin' Fabulous T-Birds style to contemporary soul/blues in the Robert Cray vein. Garry has an endorsement deal with Hohner harmonicas and its easy to hear why . His inventive playing adds a complimentary spark to the gritty and soulful vocals.
On the road they have played dates with Delbert McClinton,
John Mayall, Fabulous T Birds and many more . Based in New England they have performed at the House of Blues, Foxwoods Casino, Palace Theater and several other top music venues.
This CD has received great reviews in Living Blues , Blues Revue, and many other music mags around the world.
One Italian reviewer put it best describing this CD as
"Hip to the Head, Heart & Hips"

A pleasure to hear a CD where the vocals stand out....

One of the keys to good singing is to get just the right combination of grit and smoothness. On GO FEVER , a highly satisfying collection of blues, soul and R&B tunes, Garry successfully pulls off that balancing act. Special guest Chris Vachon fron ROOMFUL OF BLUES makes a major contribution as well, offering a lesson in swing guitar on the Ike Turner tune "Do You Mean It". Its a pleasure to hear a CD where the vocals stand out, though Garry shows he can blow a mean harp as well. Mark Buechler BLUES REVUE MAGAZINE Issue # 25
