Album Notes

Only on Dec. 4th could such an ill rapper be born. Many Hip Hop heads are aware that Jay Z’s birthday is Dec. 4th but he’s not the only Hall of fame MC that celebrates his birthday just after Thanksgiving and few weeks before Christmas. Philly’s own Moody Blaze an underground Hip Hop veteran is finally getting the attention his skills deserve. Moody says it best , “talent to be a starter but I’m stuck to the bench.” It doesn’t take long to fall into the crisp well thought out lyrics of the handsome, heavy set, hustler. With Roots from Philadelphia to Virginia and beyond, Moody’s song topics range from hometown anthems and reality checks to hustler's rapport and political tributes to President Obama. You name it M double O gives it to you. Moody’s no young buck but he’s far from a dinosaur. He has seen a lot and done a lot in his time on Earth and plans on experiencing much more with the upcoming release of his new album “Keep Ya Eyes On Ya Lips”. Moody’s Producer/Manager/Business Partner is DJ $u$pence from VA by way of NJ. They founded Watch Your Mouth Records together in 2001. A record company built on the belief that what comes out of your mouth you should take pride in whether it affords you 12 cylinders or 12 cents. $u$pence and Moody have roots that run deeper than the rap game. They both credit their time in VA where their family roots are with the chemistry that is obvious on wax. These two are true professionals and family men. They truly remind you never to judge a book by its cover. Neither looks like the traditional image of a Hip Hop artist or producers and that’s because they’re both much more than that!

I'm really particular about the rap I listen to, but I like this CD. I liked the metaphors, analogies, and definetely the beats, being a woman I found some of the rhymes to be a little sexually explicit, but thats ok because u r expressing yourself lyrically. I AM MOST DEFINETELY A FAN OF MR. MOODY BLAZE.

Hot CD, as the lyrics and rhymes are hot. The lyrics are repetitve at times, but the beats sound much better on the the CD than the compressed version you hear on the samples. Overall, Moody Blaze is on the rise!!
