Album Notes

mooncoyne is, in alphabetical order:
Bob McCaffery-Lent : vocals, guitar (Collings DA-1; Lowden S-32; Cittern (Stephan Sobell); Mandolin (Weber Bitterroot); bass, banjo, percussion. For my wife Eileen, my mom Alice, and all our cousins from Ballyboy, Kilcormac, Co. Offaly. May there be many more sessions at Dan and Molly's Pub!

Brynn Starr : vocals, fiddle. All my love to Steph, Mum & Dad, Brandon, Jenn & Declan, Sue & Stevie & my bandmates - love & thanks for all the songs.

Greg Youtz : Greg is a classical composer and professor of music at Pacific Lutheran University. In mooncoyne he has been observed singing and playing whistle, harmonica, spoons, bones, bodhran, djembe and jaw harp. On this album however, he is most proud of his solo on the tuned wine glass. He would like to thank Becky, Clara and Bernice for being such excellent audience members and, of course, Katie for being in the band with her dad!

Katie Youtz : vocals, fiddle. Katie has loved every minute of playing with this band in its many variations since she was 13. Many thanks to Becky, Clara, and Bernice for all your love and support, to Dad for all the fun years playing music together, and to Julie for being the best friend and fan of our music I could ask for.

Kent Hooper: whistle (Chris Abell D and C), piano accordion, vocals (two notes on Caledonia!!). For my wife, Aileen, and children, Ian, and Maeve; also for my folks, who never seemed to mind paying for all my instruments and music lessons when I was young.

Martin Nyberg : vocals, guitar (Santa Cruz OM Pre-War), cittern. For the past 14 years Martinā€˜s treatment of Celtic traditional music has been to bring a very subtle rhythm and blues groove to ancient tunes to sooth the modern heart. Originally influenced by blues and activist / socially conscious rock, a love affair with celtic mythology lead him to the music. Deepest thanks and Love to Renee who usually says "off with ya... have a grand ol' time" when leaving for the pub session. All my Love to Faith, Gracia, Zach, and Chad.
