Album Notes

Not just another boy with a guitar.

Moon Junior, is a South East London based singer songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, who could have gone deaf at a young age, but picked up the guitar with a realisation he could wirte songs.

Having travelled around the world, honeing his song writing skills on the road.

The result, Moon Juniors debut album was recorded over a 2 year period with a real DIY ethic, just one man and a studio, through the cold London winter nights to hottest day of the year, a lost summer that found a purpose.

With influences of a modern english indie kid with a nod back to the past.

Comparisons have been made to Turin Brakes, Nick Drake and Paul Weller

A demanding and compelling album with startling impact

The opening crescendo launches "Modern sign language' on a switchback ride through Moon Juniors hopes and fears, with songs sometimes demanding, sometimes pleading, always compelling. The clean production ensures the message gets through, often with a startling impact. These are songs that stay with you and they track the story so far. Where next, Junior?

This albumis a complete work of art

I just have to keep listening to this CD. There is more to this album than a first listen reveals. Moon Junior has crafted and performed a collection of songs, a travelogue, a singer/songwriters diary with honesty and musical style. Many of the tunes just seem to stick in the mind. The album is a complete work of art with Moon Junior playing all the instruments, acting as the producer and putting together the CD booklet with fifteen of his own photographs. The outstanding tracks are the indie rock 'Prayers' and the contemporary folk style 'Circles (In the Sun)'.

Classic British singer-songwriter pop.

Classic British singer-songwriter pop. The lyrics convey an original world-view;the pared-down arrangements focus attention on this and on the great vocal sound.
