From those many days of selling, and singing my songs on the streets of Pittsburgh.
Cheering the Steelers on to a Superbowl win. Meeting so many Steeler Fans from all over the world. I was inspired to create this CD project; Black & Gold Moon Rising. This collection of songs is dedicated to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and to the Steeler Fans.
Tracks 1 thru 4 offer different versions of my single, Nothin, But the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jerome "The Bus" Bettis, Fast Willie Parker, and the Myron Cope Triple Yoi mixes.
Anyone who has seen Joey Porter play can understand his "Up in yo face" style of play and serverd as the driving force of the Steeler defense, and the source for The Porter Authority.
After the Steelers won the Superbowl there was a great parade downtown Pittsburgh. I was surrounded in a sea of Black & Gold Steeler fans. Men, women, kids, dogs everybody and everything I could see around me were cheering and waving their Terrible Towels. I was proud of our Team, and inspired by the people around me to write, Steeler Fan.
One of the greatest players on the team, is a quiet, unassuming man who takes the game to a whole new level. A song was released that played on an announcer mispronouncing his name. His name is Troy Polamalu. This song honors the man, the warrior. His song is; TROY.
So Steelers fans Stand Up! Your proud colors, Black & Gold shall Rise once again. Rise so high like a Gold Moon in a black night sky.
